LB30 Update

The first session of the 106th Legislature adjourned sine die on May 31st. Although LB30 did not make it to the legislative floor for debate, it still remains active and hopefully will make it through the rest of the promulgation process during the 2020 session.

Amendment AM302 was introduced by the Government, Military and Veterans Affair Committee when it was voted out of committee. The amendment makes minor changes to the convictions charges for violations to the Act or Rules, along with removing the provision for landscape architect interns. These changes were made based on concerns from the Platte Institute regarding additional new regulations and the possible barrier a felony conviction may cause to an applicant.

If you have further questions about these changes, please contact our office. To be notified of any status change, you can track LB30 along with other bills you may be interested in through the Nebrkas Unicameral Legislature BillTracker.

Further updates will be provided as they are made available.
