The Nebraska State Board of Landscape Architects will have a vacancy on the Board as of September 23, 2026, for a professional landscape architect, and currently has a seat vacancy for its public member. The professional seat is open to all professional landscape architects who are licensed, reside in Nebraska, are US citizens, and have actively practiced for at least 5 years. The public seat is open to all Nebraska residents who are US citizens. Here is some basic information on the Board:

• The Board is comprised of six members, five professional landscape architects and one member of the public, who are appointed by the Governor for five-year terms. Members must be residents of the state, US citizens, and professional members must have actively practiced for at least five years.
• The Board currently meets once a quarter in January, April, July, and October, with additional meetings scheduled as needed. Meetings are typically held in Lincoln at the Board's office.
• The Board is a member of CLARB, the national organization of landscape architect licensing boards. CLARB is responsible for developing and administering the LARE and for assisting the member boards in promoting licensure. An annual meeting is held, usually in September, to which the Board typically sends at least one board member and one staff member.
